Something New Is Coming!

Francois Jaggi

About François

Born: Saint Loup D’Ordon, France, 1944.

François moved to Switzerland where he completed his jewellery apprenticeship and diploma at the School of Arts in Geneva. After 15 years of working freelance for Rolex, Cartier, Boucheron, Audemar and Riguet, François then came to Australia where he and his wife built a secluded home and studio close to Armidale.

From that vantage, Francois continued designing jewellery but felt a strong desire to turn to sculpture, seeking inspiration from the graceful images of nature, and, discovering the art of forming and having more freedom and creativity in his work.

The understated but powerful presence of sculptures transforms the space surrounding them.

From François

“The beauty is straight lines with curves – thus creating simplicity.”

François' Art

François creates the graceful movements of birds in flight and dance; also the strength and grace of horses and cheetah; “Rhythmic perspective’s” in which scenic details are left to the imagination, thus giving freedom.

He has profound and complete spiritual and physical harmony with nature, first drawing the images in his mind then representing them with clay, wood and wax, and casting the mould in bronze or other mediums. The fine polished finish is an important part of his work, and every day new sculptures present themselves.
