Marianne Cole
From Marianne
“Travelling around the world I have been privileged to see some of the vast ceramic collections and other artefacts left to us by ancient cultures. Decoration, no matter how simple, elaborate or colourful, often features strongly on humble ceramic vessels, jewellery and costumes: within us is a desire to create something not only for its function, but often, more importantly, for its beauty. My work stems from similar passion for decoration.”
